Problem

Competitive analysis is a key aspect when in the beginning stages of an SEO campaign.
Far too often, I see organizations skip this important step and get right into keyword mapping, optimizing content, or link building. Capitalize on low hanging fruit to identify a ballpark value added activity to beta test. Override the digital divide with additional clickthroughs from DevOps.

This app can potentially be the solution that will help decrease the percentage of young people who commit suicide, or help them get mentally better.

This app will be able to provide students 24/7 help, and the app also makes it available for people who are struggling with similar problems to connect, and help each other in case they are feeling lonely.

However, they can also connect to the therapists that will be available to help. We think that this type of app is something that the market is currently missing.

Research

To date, we have conducted interviews with 35 individuals, primarily sourced from a pool of over 400 respondents to our survey. While some interviewees were survey participants, others were recruited through personal connections or referrals from friends and acquaintances. Our commitment to gathering valuable insights remains steadfast, and we plan to continue these interviews.

Among the 35 individuals, an encouraging 28 expressed strong enthusiasm for the concept behind Well Heard and expressed a keen interest in using the app. A portion of the remaining interviewees, while not yet fully on board, did express some reservations, noting a preference for traditional face-to-face counseling interactions.

Our selection criteria for interviewees were guided by their genuine interest in counseling services as a tool for addressing their personal challenges, whether these issues were significant or more minor in nature. We aimed to engage individuals who viewed counseling as a means of holistic problem-solving rather than a mere temporary solution.

Looking forward, we are committed to maintaining an ongoing dialogue with these same interviewees, inviting them to participate as beta testers for our mental health application. This collaborative approach ensures that we remain aligned with their preferences and expectations.

Throughout the interviews, we encouraged participants to share their personal backgrounds, delve into their past experiences with mental health services, outline their likes and dislikes, and provide valuable feedback on our app.

Please note that all interviews were conducted under strict confidentiality guidelines, limiting the extent of information we can disclose. Nonetheless, these conversations continue to be instrumental in shaping the development of Well Heard.

User Personas

In light of my research findings, I developed two distinct user personas by synthesizing the insights gathered during the interviews:

Design Version 1.0

After concluding my research phase, I embarked on the draft designing process, where I utilized dummy data to craft preliminary layouts for the app. These designs were thoughtfully designed to incorporate the features and functionalities that had been identified as essential and desirable by our users.
